Indian cement companies asked to use 25% fly ash
(Orissa, India) -- India cement companies, which have signed MoUs with the Orissa State government, for setting up of new cement plants in the state will be asked to utilize 25% of the fly ash generated in the state.
The use of fly ash will be a mandatory condition for the companies. Orissa government is likely to take a decision in this regard in the next couple of months.
As a part of its plan to promote the use of fly ash or BFS, the Orissa state government is seeks to identify the potential fly ash generating industries, create awareness about the utilization of fly ash, provide technological support to fly ash generating units and encourage the use of fly ash in brick factory, civil construction and cement plants.
