苯酚 ( 又名石炭酸 ) 。苯酚是具有特殊氣味的五色結(jié)晶，露于光和空氣中易被氧化變?yōu)榧t色漸至深色。苯酚微溶于冷水。在 65 ℃ 以上時(shí)，可與水混溶，易溶于乙醇、乙醚等有機(jī)溶劑。酚有毒性，可作防腐劑和消毒劑。在工業(yè)上，苯酚的用途很廣，是有機(jī)合成的重要原料，大量用于制造酚醛樹脂，環(huán)氧樹脂及其他高分子材料、藥物、染料、炸藥等。

苯酚 ( 別名石炭酸，Pheno1) 分子式 C6H5OH ，相對(duì)分子質(zhì)量94.12 。純粹的苯酚是白色結(jié)晶體。露置于空氣中及光線的作用，即變成淡紅色甚至紅色。相對(duì)密度 (d204 )1.0576 ，熔點(diǎn)41 ℃，沸點(diǎn)181.75 ℃ 。苯酚能自空氣中吸收水分而液化，有強(qiáng)烈的特殊氣味，腐蝕性極強(qiáng)，具有刺激性和毒性。苯酚能溶于水，呈酸性反應(yīng)。能溶于乙醇、氯仿和二硫化碳，易溶于乙醚，與丙酮、苯和四氯化碳可以任何比例混合。是生產(chǎn)酚系減水劑和氨基磺酸鹽減水劑的原料，也可作為生產(chǎn)引氣劑的原料。
